
Danny Smight is an LA-based editor with ample experience on both fast-paced commercial projects, branded content docs, narrative shorts and nonfiction features.

He's currently co-editing SLAUSON REC, a forthcoming feature doc that details the rise and fall of Shia LaBeouf's short-lived theater company of the same name. Layered, tragic and complex, the film explores the nature of celebrity in the modern age and the complicated nature of creative abuse.
Danny previously worked at VICE Studios as an in-house Assistant Editor cutting sizzles and pitch videos and prior to that as both AE and associate archival producer on the Vice Studios / MAX documentary #BAMARUSH, directed by Rachel Fleit.
He knows the nitty-gritty of codecs, frame rates, and deliverable
specs like the back of his hand and has been cutting with Adobe Premiere Pro - and using the entire Creative Cloud suite - for over twelve years now. He's equipped for both in-person and remote work. Rates available upon request.
